Special Lembas (design by Lana Rose) Preview.

Today I have a great look for you! A little preview of our Lembas, design by Lana Rose, line that is coming soon! Currently I am taking special order and couture inquiries and orders. From one of our orders birthed this great dress: the Sarai shift dress.

This dress has all you want of a great shift: it's flattering, fitted yet loose, and keeps a great shape. It has a great wide neck, 3/4 length sleeves with zipper detail (my favourite part) and that perfect "mini" length. However, we also offer customisations.

Enjoy!

black & blue allover

Seattle's weather has been a mixed bag lately. We've had some gorgeous, sunny days that are the perfect mixture of warmth and glow, yet offers that nice, fresh breeze to cool you off without lingering. As many people may not know, Seattle can boast some great weather--especially in the summer months--but it just takes a while to get there.

This was not one of those days.

But... we've had worse.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with Patrick Leung (http://patrickleung.ca), a lifestyle photographer from Vancouver, BC. He has a great sense of style with shooting and it was very fun to work with him. We hope to bring you another collaboration soon! For this shoot, we had some grey skies, which eventually turned into some misty rain. Again, not the worse that the Seattle skies have brought us.

So, I figured some over-the-knee stockings, leather skirt, and heavy-duty cropped turtleneck sweater would do the trick.

We ran around Capitol Hill, one of my favourite little neighborhoods in this city. It boasts some of the great tucked away bars & restaurants, as well as some great nightlife & late-night bites.

All photos by Patrick Leung.

February Air

February in Seattle is that wonderful mix of cool air with bright sun. Some days more of one or the other. Lately it's been a fantastic mix of crisp air, yet enough sun to warm up your bones. I'm a big fan of sunshine, so I welcome all sun that comes our way.

It's really been great living so close to the water, as well, check out these shots of Elliott Bay. I think I may have spotted a seal or an otter, but I can't be sure!

It's still too cold out for bare legs, at least in my opinion, so these microsuede leggings are a treat! They are incredibly soft to the touch, yet keep me warm enough without being uncomfortable.

My other key to being warm is this great faux fur vest. This vest by Romeo & Juliet couture is great. I love anything with varied colours, it gives me more styling options, and this one is darling!

Another Rainy Day.

Surprise, surprise, we had another rainy day in Seattle. Luckily, it was rather light with no need for "true" raincoats.

We have been wanting to try out Manhattan for lunch (we tried their dinner) in Capitol Hill, and it was wonderful! We highly recommend their burgers and steak. We got the hummingbird cocktail for two, which was delightfully refreshing.

Afterwards, we went around to some costume and thrift shops before going to a whisk(e)y tasting.

Superbowl Sunday.

When Ryan and I first started dating, he bought me this adorable hoodie mini dress from Asos. It is one of my favourite casual dresses and a go-to for long drives and roadtrips.

Seattle's weather has been pretty crisp, but sunny lately, so this outfit was just warm enough!

Our next adventure.

This post has been long overdue. We were married over memorial weekend, and I have yet to post these beautiful photos! So here they are. At least I beat the one-year mark!

A photo diary of a very important day (the BIG day!), our wedding.

Frills and thrills.

The weather in Seattle has been phenomenal lately (I can actually wear summer dresses and rompers!), perfect for the mother's day weekend!

We headed over to Pike Place in the morning for some fresh flowers! They were gorgeous and had my favourite feathered tulips!

We went down south and had the most fabulous lunch with my family. My step-dad made amazing cajun meatloaf, which I've never had before, but it tasted just as great as if sounds if not better. I definitely took multiple helpings :) I also was able to take my mom's pup out for a walk.

I've been really enjoying pastels and the amazing Suzanne of Suzabelle Clothing sent me this fabulous dress that I haven't been able to wear yet until now.

spearmint.

A few days ago I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot with the lovely Lili Carlson. Although I ended up with a couple scrapes and bruises, it was quite fun (as well as humorous, I'm sure) to see me trying to climb up to the roof of a building with nothing else but a step stool and platform booties... Alas, we got the job done and I daresay it was a blast!

Here's a few of the pictures :)

winter chill.

We've been having just a bitter cold here! However it is incomparable to some winters past, but I just can't seem to get used to the cold... I'm not sure how I survived as a child when we migrated from Honolulu to Boston with it's harsh winters! It's amazing how adaptable our bodies are as children. My fiance says it's all about having a mental state of warmth, but I try and try and it never works for me!

Anyway, I had to suck it up while doing a shoot with the adorable Jessika Levine. I thoroughly enjoyed our photo shoot outing up north by the ferry dock, though my hands, toes and face were numb from it. I believe it was raining the entire shoot, but it aided in the wet look :) Here's some shots from our shoot:
